FRIENDSHIP AND FUN
Being with understanding peers who are having similar experiences fosters lasting friendships.  The TEAM staff is helpful and
supportive.  Special events such as speakers, field trips, celebrations, recognitions, RIF book giveaways, and the TEAM store make it
fun to be a student at TEAM.
Child Care Director:

The TEAM Program provides education, counseling and supportive services for pregnant teens, teen mothers, and their children.  TEAM makes it
possible for young women to complete their high school education while also concentrating on prenatal care and parenting education.
EDUCATION
Credit classes toward a
high school diploma are
offered through TEAM, area
schools and BOCES
vocational programs.  GED
preparation is available for
some students.  Life Skills,
child development,
parenting, health, and
nutrition classes are also
included.
CHILD CARE
TEAM cares for
infants and
toddlers while
mothers attend
school.  Children
have interaction,
stimulation and
developmental
learning
experiences in
the NYS licensed
nursery program.
 Staff members
model quality
child care and
help mothers
with problems
and questions
about their
children.
CASE MANAGEMENT
AND COUNSELING
Individual case management,
advocacy, and referrals help
students with needs and
concerns.  Academic
advisement and career
exploration help students
plan for their future.
Counseling, which focuses on
strengths and solutions,
helps students with personal,
family, and relationship issues.
SUPPORT SERVICES
TEAM provides students with transportation, breakfast and lunch, childbirth classes, family planning information and referrals, and help
with basic needs.  Students may participate in pregnancy prevention (peer education) presentations to help other teens understand
how parenthood has changed their lives.
